This is not an official TICA show. This is a FUNdraising event which is for fun only, no TICA Titles or points will be awarded. Virtual Ribbons will be awarded and possibly prizes as available. Funds from this show will be managed by the Regional Director, VickieJo Harrison. It is intended to help those clubs who lost money related to Covid19 cancelations.

You do not need to be a TICA member to enter and your cat does not need to be registered in TICA to enter.

This show will have 6 judges. Each will judge the kitten, cat, alter, HHP, HHPK, and PNB/ANB/New Trait categories and 3 will judge the congresses: Tiny Tot, Golden Oldies, Rainbow. Each judge will submit their top 10 for finals. Virtual ribbons will be awarded to all finalists. Other prizes may be awarded, to be announced later.

ENTRIES:

This show will open to submit entries 04/06/2020 and close to entries on 04/19/20 at 6 PM Central Standard Time. Presentation of top 10 finals will be held on this page on Saturday and Sunday 4/25 & 4/26 with more specific info. later. Fees will be paid promptly after entering. Information on how to submit your fees is on the entry form.

Enter as many cats as you want. You may enter this show even if you do not reside in this Region. There is no limit on total number of entries. We are making these rules as simple as possible. Because this is virtual, we cannot police the exhibitors. Everyone is on the HONOR SYSTEM to follow the rules.

Show Categories: Purebred or pedigreed cat is one in which the ancestry is formally registered in a recognized organization such as TICA, ACFA, CFA. If your cat’s ancestry is unknown, it is not a pedigreed cat (even if it looks exactly like one). If not pedigreed, it should be entered in the household pet division.

Only TICA breeds are recognized for this show (see tica.org for approved breeds).

KITTENS: Pedigreed kittens shall be 4 to 8 months old at the time of the photo. May be intact or spayed/neutered

CATS: Pedigreed Adults who have not been spayed or neutered 8 months or older at the time of the photo. Pregnant cats may enter if you wish.

ALTERS: Pedigreed adults over 8 months who have been spayed or neutered.

HOUSEHOLD PET KITTENS (HHPK): non-pedigreed kittens 4-8 months at the time of the photos

HOUSEHOLD PET ADULTS (HHP): non-pedigreed cats over 8 months at the time of the photo

PRELIMINARY NEW BREED / ADVANCED NEW BREED / NEW TRAIT: pedigreed cats 4 months or older (at the time of the photo) who do not yet meet requirements for competition in the other Pedigreed categories.

**PNB: Aphrodite , Tennessee Rex, Toybob

**ANB: Highlander, Highlander Shorthair, Serengeti

**New Trait: Something new is introduced into an existing breed (i.e. a new color).

OUR CONGRESSES:

TINY TOTS: kittens under 4 months at the time of the photo, pedigreed or unpedigreed

GOLDEN OLDIES: cats over 10 years old at the time of the photo, pedigreed or unpedigreed

RAINBOW: Kittens or cats that have passed

PHOTOS FOR ENTRY:

You are allowed to submit up to 3 photos per entry for regular entries and one photo per entry for the congresses. Professional photos are allowed but please give credit to photographer. Make sure your entry reflects the age of the cat at the time of the photo (i.e. if you enter the kitten category, the photos should have been taken when that cat was actually 4-8 months old). Photos should show your cat off: we recommend one with with your cat’s head profile, a body shot, and a head shot. When you take photos, make sure there is good contrast with the background color, no clutter or people in background. Be sure to groom your cat prior to photo taking: trim nails, wash your cat if needed and groom fur, clean matter out of eyes, clean inside their ears, clean bottoms, etc. Show him off looking his best, but no photoshopping.

When you submit your entry on the form, you will be taken to the Paypal Checkout screen for easy payment.

If you are submitting multiple entries and would like to just pay one Paypal payment for all your entries when you are finished, just cancel out of the Paypal screen and make your payment later after all your entries have been submitted. How do I enter my cat?

Please use one entry form per cat.
Cats that are registered breeds accepted by TICA can be entered into Adult,

Alter and Kitten classes. These cats should have a pedigree from any recognized association.

Cats that fall under new breeds/advanced breeds/preliminary breeds/new traits under TICA rules can be entered into the Preliminary/New Breeds/Traits class.
Cats without a pedigree are entered into the Household Pet Adult or Kitten classes.
You can enter any cat in the Congress classes that fit the description.

Do I have to be a TICA member or my cats TICA registered?
No! As long as your breed is accepted by TICA it can be entered without TICA registration. If it is not accepted by TICA it can be entered in HHP classes. You do not have to live in a region covered by TICA nor do you or your cats have to be registered with TICA to enter.

My cat looks like a Maine Coon/Siamese/Ragdoll/etc but does not have a pedigree or papers to prove he is one. Where do I enter it?
Your cat would be entered in HHP Adult or Kitten classes.
What kind of pictures do you need for my entry?
At least 2 - 3 pictures of each cat showing a close up frontal, profile and body for regular entries, and 1 picture for congresses.
No humans should be identifiable in the pictures.
Your pictures should be at a reasonable size and in focus.

Can we use professional photos?
Yes, you can use photos taken by photographers if you have a profile, head and body shot with no identifiable humans in the photos.
Please credit the photographer in your entry form under the QUESTIONS/COMMENTS section on the form.
What region’s show do I enter?

With this in mind, you are not obligated to enter the show in your region or to limit yourself to only that region’s show.
You can enter multiple shows, all the shows, one show, in your region or in another region. The choice is yours.
Each region’s show may have some differences in how they conduct the show and judging and they may have congresses/fun classes that differ.

Posting on the Facebook Groups
Please do not post your entry onto the TICA Virtual Cat Shows 2020 Facebook group. Posting has been deactivated in some region’s groups as well, to prevent identification of your cats to judges. Once the shows commence, your entries will be uploaded by the entry clerk to the applicable albums in the group/page. You can view your entries in the album but please do not comment to identify your cat. Judging will take place from these albums.

Please feel free, however to share the relevant group/page to help us gain interest for the shows.
Advertising - Sponsors and Vendors
Approved Sponsors and Vendors will be allowed to advertise on the group / page for each show they are affiliated with. Please keep spam to a minimum and post meaningful content for the audience to advertise your services, products or message. Please do not conduct direct sales on the show’s group/page. Sponsors should provide their logo and web link to the organizers. Sponsors $15 | Vendors $5
Are the breed standard rules going to apply?
To the extent that we are able to enforce them using photos, yes.
How do we pay?
You will pay via a paypal link on the entry form. If you do not have paypal please contact the entry clerk to arrange an alternative payment solution.
Can cat pages join the group and enter as their page?
No, this would identify the entry to the judges. You will enter as yourself as the owner of the cat using the entry form linked above. You are welcome to join the group/like the relevant show page as your Facebook Page instead of your personal Page if you prefer but entries will be received via the online form.
Can we ask our pet owners to enter?
Of course, please spread the word to your pet owners, friends and family. Anyone can enter. It would be especially welcomed to expose this initiative to people who do not ordinarily show so we can spread the word and encourage growth in the cat fancy for the future.
What will you be doing with the funds raised?
The funds raised will be distributed to Clubs in need who have had a significant loss due to their shows being postponed/canceled, welfare, and the TICA Regional or Annual shows.
